What changed, what it means for your mine, and anything you need to do.

Versions use UTC dates. Entries marked “Reconstructed history” were compiled from commits; their dates record the changes, not exact deployment times.

Clearer mine stats and steadier pickups

See your active ore bonus and mobile Souls rate, and collect loot without the button moving under your pointer.

Added

Souls per minute is now visible on the mobile Mine screen, with a second row when space is tight. It includes active mining boosts.

Fixed

The average ore value now doubles while the Commissary is active and returns to normal when it expires. Ore already in your cart keeps its original value.
Loot pickups stay in place when pressed, so one click or tap can collect them even near the edge. Keyboard collection still works.

Your progress: Existing saves, balances, upgrades, stored ore and offline earnings are unchanged. This patch does not change production rates or loot rewards.
What you need to do: Reload your game tab to see the updated stats and pickup behavior.

More time for a lucky find

Ward pickups now stay available for 20 seconds instead of five.

Changed

Click, tap, or press L within 20 seconds to collect a ward pickup. The countdown and Help now reflect the longer window. Leaving the ward still dismisses the pickup.

Your progress: Reward amounts, 5–10 minute waits, and the 10-Scrap daily allowance are unchanged. Existing progress and confirmed rewards are preserved.
What you need to do: Reload if an older game tab asks you to update, so your pickup timer uses the new window.

A lucky find in your ward

Watch your ward for occasional Cash, Souls, and rare Scrap pickups.

Added

Currency pickups appear at random safe locations after 5–10 minutes with your ward visible. Click, tap, or press L within five seconds to collect. Waiting pauses elsewhere, and missed pickups leave your mining untouched.

Balance

Finds are 80% Cash, 15% Souls and 5% Scrap. Rewards follow your ward and permanent progression; temporary boosts do not multiply them. Collect up to 10 Scrap from pickups per UTC day, with the allowance preserved through prestige and progress resets.

Your progress: Existing progress is preserved. Pickups add small optional rewards and do not replace contracts, offline earnings or prestige rewards.
What you need to do: Reload if an older tab asks you to update. Keep your ward visible to watch for a lucky find.

Your progress: Your mine and all saved progress are unchanged.
What you need to do: None. You can read updates without signing in.

Upgrade prices and stronger Fortune

Equipment prices now rise consistently, and both enchantments cost 8,000 Souls to fully upgrade.

Balance

Fortune increased from +15% to +18% ore yield per level: +60% becomes +72% at Fortune IV. Maximum Efficiency remains +72%; together they now multiply production by 2.9584 instead of 2.752.
Efficiency I–V still cost 30, 90, 270, 810 and 2,430 Souls. Efficiency VI changed from 7,290 to 4,370 Souls, bringing the full cost from 10,920 to 8,000.
Fortune I–IV prices changed from 50 / 150 / 450 / 1,350 to 300 / 900 / 2,400 / 4,400 Souls. The full cost changed from 2,000 to 8,000 Souls. Prestige 5 still unlocks the final level of each enchantment.
Equipment levels 9, 13 and 17 now cost 110% of the preceding level’s price instead of dropping to 62.5%. At Prestige 0, level 9 pickaxe / drill / cart prices changed from $9,375 / $13,750 / $18,750 to $16,500 / $24,200 / $33,000. Level 13 costs five times those amounts; level 17 costs twenty-five times those amounts. Other equipment prices and rank unlocks are unchanged.

Your progress: Owned equipment and enchantments stay yours, with no refunds or extra charges. Existing Fortune levels receive the stronger bonus. Uncredited offline mining uses the new rate within your offline allowance; credited balances and the stored value of ore are preserved. Existing contract terms remain until refresh or prestige.
What you need to do: Reload if an older game tab asks you to update. A purchase that was already saved remains saved; an unconfirmed old purchase may need to be selected again.

Visit and share your cell

Visit miners’ rooms from the leaderboard and share a public view of your own little corner.

Added

Select a miner on either leaderboard to visit their saved cell. Close the visit to return to your place on the board.
Find sharing under Upgrades → Your cell. Public links work without sign-in and include your miner’s appearance, name, rank, prestige, room and placed decorations.
Reading animations bring your miner’s room to life and respect reduced-motion preferences.

Changed

The main Idle welcome page can now appear in search results. Individual cell pages remain excluded from indexing.

Your progress: Visits only display your saved cell; they do not collect rewards, change your mine, or expose your currency balances. Your cell link survives renaming, prestige and a voluntary progress reset. Practice cells stay on your device.
What you need to do: None. Use the sharing controls when you want to send someone your cell link.

Fresh contracts every six hours

Four contract sets per UTC day replace the daily set, starting September 6, 2026 at 00:00 UTC.

Changed

New sets begin at 00:00, 06:00, 12:00 and 18:00 UTC. Until that activation time, the daily schedule remains in effect.
Unfinished objectives expire at refresh. Completed, unclaimed rewards carry forward, and Prestige 2 continues to claim completed rewards automatically. Commissary visits and Soul Forge exchanges still reset once per UTC day.

Balance

Targets stay the same. Each contract’s Cash reward changes from 300 seconds of baseline income per daily set to 75 seconds per six-hour set. Completing all four sets gives the same Cash at constant production.
Mining / selling / Super Breaker rewards change from 5 / 5 / 5 Scrap per daily set to 1 / 2 / 2 per six-hour set. Completing everything increases the daily total from 15 to 20 Scrap; mining and selling alone increase from 10 to 12.

Your progress: Existing balances, contract progress and claim status are preserved during the save upgrade. Completed old daily rewards remain claimable. Offline mining follows the schedule active during the credited time and still respects your offline allowance.
What you need to do: Reload if prompted. You do not need to reset your mine or claim completed rewards before the change.

The rank panel estimates how much more mining you need, with clearer resource spacing on phones.

Added

A time-to-rank estimate counts your Cash and the stored value of your ore cart, includes the expiry of active boosts, and tells you when selling your ore would cover the rank-up.

Fixed

Improved spacing between mobile resource values and controls.

Your progress: This changes the display only. The estimate assumes your current upgrades and mining within your offline allowance; future spending, new boosts and contract rewards can change it.
What you need to do: None.

Your progress: Leaderboard ordering and your progression are unchanged. Browsing the board does not spend resources or modify your save.
What you need to do: None. Sign in to use My page.

Fair prestige rewards and reliable saves

Contracts now follow your new run after prestige, and delayed actions cannot repeat an old purchase or reset.

Changed

Leaderboards use standings refreshed once a minute, with an update time and a notice when results are delayed.

Fixed

Prestige recalculates retained contract targets and rewards for E4 using your new prestige and permanent upgrades. Unfinished progress restarts; completed contracts stay completed at the E4 payout, and claimed rewards stay claimed.
Strengthened handling of retries and delayed requests so old actions cannot repeat their effects or duplicate Ward Journal contract credit.

Your progress: The update preserves existing progress. The revised contract behavior applies when you prestige; prestige still keeps its normal reset and retention rules.
What you need to do: Reload older tabs when prompted. If another tab has already changed your mine, review the refreshed state before selecting the action again.

Your First Shift

A skippable introduction helps new miners learn the game while their mine keeps working.

Added

A six-step introduction covers your miner, selling, upgrades, your cell, contracts and the first rank milestone. Replay it from Help whenever you like.
Airidale Idle links in the main website footer and account menus.

Fixed

Tutorial controls and highlights stay usable in short desktop windows.

Your progress: Existing accounts are not enrolled automatically. The tutorial grants no currency or upgrades; mining continues throughout. Completed or skipped introductions remain remembered through prestige and voluntary reset.
What you need to do: None. New players can follow or skip the introduction; returning players can replay it from Help.

Choose a fresh start

You can voluntarily reset your Idle progress after reviewing exactly what will be lost.

Added

Your miner → Name & title → Reset progress opens a confirmation screen. You must type RESET and confirm to start again at E4, Prestige 0.
The reset screen explains that closing a pending request does not cancel a reset already submitted.

Your progress: Installing this update does not reset anyone. Choosing Reset permanently clears balances, equipment, enchantments, Mastery, cell upgrades, decorations, titles, journal discoveries, contracts, automation, boosts, cooldowns and lifetime records. Your display name and appearance stay. Discord sign-in, website profile data and Minecraft progress are unaffected.
What you need to do: None unless you want to start over. Only confirm Reset if you want to permanently lose your Idle progression.

Make your miner your own

Customize your appearance, display name and earned title from one editor.

Added

Two miner looks with six skin tones, four hairstyles, five hair colors, six outfits and four hardhats. Appearance choices are free and cosmetic.

Changed

Display names are checked for inappropriate or reserved names. A name needing replacement appears publicly as New miner while its owner can continue playing and choose a replacement.

Fixed

Your own leaderboard appearance and profile update immediately after a confirmed save.

Your progress: Your appearance persists through prestige, reloads and ward changes. Editing your profile changes no production bonuses or currency, and existing miners keep their original appearance until they choose another.
What you need to do: Open your miner’s name to customize. If prompted to replace a display name, choose an allowed name in the editor.

Stories from the Ward Journal

Get to know the wards through investigations that progress alongside your mining.

Added

Five character chapters, fifteen discoveries, ten follow-up notes, ten keepsakes and two cosmetic titles.
Select one investigation to advance through credited mining time and completed contracts. Earned keepsakes are permanent and can be placed in your cell.

Your progress: Currency and progression formulas are unchanged. Journal discoveries, your selected investigation and earned keepsakes survive prestige; decoration rewards are yours to place rather than automatically replacing your room’s furnishings.
What you need to do: Open the Journal and select an investigation to begin.

Soul Forge and a room of your own

Spend endgame Souls on permanent Mastery, and decorate your cell independently of its size.

Added

Soul Forge opens at Prestige 5 with Efficiency VI and Fortune IV. Exchange 250 Souls for 10 Scrap once per UTC day.
Soul Mastery starts at 500 Souls, with the next level costing 250 more for each level already owned. Each level adds 0.5% production up to +10% at Mastery 20; later levels add status and cosmetic milestones.
Four decoration slots with separately purchased basics and earned cosmetics. Switching owned decorations is free.

Changed

Cell expansion increases room size from 3 × 3 to 5 × 5 and no longer supplies furniture. Expansion prices remain 20 / 40 / 60 / 80 Scrap, and offline allowances remain 8 / 10 / 12 / 14 / 16 hours.

Your progress: Existing cell owners retain their previously supplied furnishings. Cell size, purchased decorations, Mastery, titles and daily exchange usage persist through prestige. Decorations do not change production.
What you need to do: None. Visit Your cell to decorate, or the Soul Forge after meeting its unlock requirements.

Equipment that grows with your rank

Later equipment purchases now unlock as you climb through each ward.

Balance

Equipment levels 1–4 keep their original prices and E-ward availability. Purchases of levels 5–20 cost five times their original price, with the existing prestige multiplier.
D4 / D3 / D2 / D1 unlock levels 5 / 6 / 7 / 8. C and B continue through level 16; A4 unlocks 17, A3 unlocks 18, and A2 unlocks both 19 and 20.

Your progress: Owned gear is never removed or reduced. For example, a D4 miner who already owns level-8 tools keeps their full production and can buy level 9 at C4. Existing balances, ranks, enchantments, cells, cooldowns and contracts are preserved; the new rules apply to future purchases.
What you need to do: None. If your next purchase is locked, its button shows the rank you need.

Refreshed all five ward scenes, miner and equipment animation, and the cell diorama. Equipment sits naturally in each ward, and cell artwork blends into the game’s panels.

The game waits for saved progress before displaying your mine, avoiding a flash of a new miner or the wrong ward while loading.

Offline mining, equipment, permanent enchantments, cell upgrades, daily contracts, repeatable prestige and a Discord-backed leaderboard.
Discord sign-in keeps your Idle progress with your account. New miners start with a Discord-based display name.

Fixed

Super Breaker’s 2× mining and Haste Totem’s 3× mining now combine for 6× while both are active, rather than Haste replacing the Breaker bonus. Each keeps its own duration and cooldown.

Your progress: Idle has its own progression and economy, separate from your Minecraft character. Away-time earnings are limited by your cell’s offline allowance.
What you need to do: Sign in with Discord to start your saved mine. No Minecraft account is required.
